Enrollment & Tuition
At It Takes a Village, our tuition-based enrollment model is designed to provide a stable, high-quality experience for your child. The tuition covers all aspects of care, including meals, activities, and educational materials, ensuring a consistent and enriching program. My operating hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility to accommodate each family's needs while maintaining the same tuition rate.
As a licensed provider (as of March 2025), I am able to care for up to six children (no more than two under two years old). I adhere to all regulations for in-home providers to ensure the highest standards of safety and care. My extensive expertise, professionalism, and dedication ensure a nurturing environment tailored to your child’s needs.
I ask serious inquiries only when filling out an application and when inquiring for tuition rates. In full transparency, I am an elite high-quality provider and my rates reflect that. If the application indicates a good fit, I will follow up with a call to offer a tour and interview. This process helps me carefully select best-fit families and provide the best possible care and education.

Many childcare options in the area do not offer the same level of expertise, personalized attention, and educational resources that I do at It Takes a Village. Unlike some competitors who may only have basic training or minimal certifications, my program is led by myself holding advanced degrees in early childhood education.
While many programs use general play-based models, I distinguish my program by integrating a comprehensive, interest-based curriculum that is specifically tailored to each child’s developmental needs. I also include specialized programs like Lovevery and Second Step, which are designed to enhance cognitive and emotional development. Additionally, my community-centered approach and strong parent engagement, including dedicated resources like monthly newsletters and parent library, are unique features that set my program apart from other childcare settings.

Leadership and Expertise
Highly Qualified Leadership: Led by Kendyll Hulyk, who has over a decade of experience and two master's degrees in early childhood education, surpassing the standard for in-home daycares.

Ongoing Professional Development: Kendyll is committed to ongoing professional development, continually pursuing advanced training and certifications to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Educational Approach
Tailored and Experiential Learning: My program features a curriculum that is individually tailored to each child’s interests and developmental needs, blending Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia philosophies. This approach emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning through play-based activities that foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning.
Comprehensive Development Support: I incorporate Lovevery play kits, offering high-quality, developmentally appropriate materials to support cognitive, physical, and emotional growth. My curriculum and activities are designed to align with each child’s developmental stage, ensuring appropriate challenges and support.
Class Environment
Small Class Sizes: Provides personalized attention with small groups, creating a more focused and individualized learning environment compared to larger childcare settings. My program has a max capacity of 6 children.
Community-Centered and Inviting: My program fosters a family-like environment where every child is nurtured, reflecting the philosophy that "it takes a village to raise a child." The classroom environment is carefully curated, continuously evolving to meet the needs of students, and is designed to be beautiful and inviting.

Flexibility & Parent Engagement
Flexible Scheduling with Consistent Tuition: Full-time flexible hours (7:30 AM - 5:30 PM), accommodating families’ needs while maintaining consistent tuition rates, with all meals included. Compared to a nanny, where rates can be well over $25/hr, my tuition breakdown is around $14-$16/hr with comparable, or even superior care.
Open and Personalized Communication: I emphasize maintaining an open and natural line of communication with parents, akin to having a family member watch your child. I utilize technology like the Talli app to provide daily reports for infants , along with daily updates, newsletters, and meal menus to keep parents well-informed and connected.
